An extended light aircraft flight over the beautiful Essex and Kent Countryside, overflying castles and historic sites - including a WW2 pilot's views of the famous White Cliffs of Dover!
As you depart North Weald we will take up a southerly heading for the River Thames. Our historic lesson will by overflying Tilbury Fort before flying into Kent and following the coast where we will drop to low level to see the imposing towers of the 12th century Reculver Church and Roman site, then fly inland to the famous Roman Fort ruins at Richborough.
After circling this imposing historic site we will head down to the south coast and descend to a lower level again so that you can take in the historic Cinque Port Castles of Deal and Walmer.
Routing around the coast we will pass the iconic ‘White Cliffs’ just before reaching Dover Castle and the busy ferry port. We then fly back inland to world famous Canterbury Cathedral before taking in our last historic site of Leeds Castle which is renowned as ‘the loveliest castle in the world’ before routing back to North Weald.
To gain the most from your flying lesson you will receive a pictorial card with a brief history of the places to be visited on the day. Have your camera at the ready to take some stunning pictures from your birds eye view. Your pilot will give you ample notice as you approach each point of interest.
If you would like the opportunity to take in some of the most spectacular and historic sites that South East England has to offer, as well as the beautiful countryside of ‘The Garden of England’ all in one flight, then this experience is definitely for you.
Your pilot will then give you a tour of the aircraft you'll be flying in and a description of the flight systems and instruments before a safety briefing, then you'll take to the sky!
You'll also be given your pictorial card containing history of the landmarks that will be visited on the day - Don't forget to bring your camera!

- Flight time will be approximately 1 hour 30 mins. Please allow about 2.5 hours for the day.

Your safety is paramount to us! All of our aircraft are maintained to the strictest safety standards, and you'll be given a safety briefing by your fully CAA certified flight instructor before your flight commences.
If the weather or Air Traffic Control means we are unable to fly on the day of your event, we'll let you know and re-arrange at no charge.Requirements

My second flight with you
This was my second flight with North Weald, having done a trial flying lesson last year. I really enjoyed it and am recommending it to all of my friends!
I loved every second of this lesson, especially seeing the white cliffs from a world war two pilot's perspective.
