Thinking about becoming a pilot, or perhaps you'd just like to give a loved one a taste of flight?
Trial flying lessons can be used to get a taste of the air or even log it as your very first flying lesson in your log book – It’s really up to you!
You will be sitting in the front of the aircraft with access to the flight controls under the guidance of your fully certified and highly skilled flight instructor who will explain the process of becoming a Private Pilot and answer any questions you have along the way!
Your pilot will then give you a tour of the aircraft you'll be flying in and a description of the flight systems and instruments before a safety briefing, then you'll take to the sky!
- Your highly skilled and fully certified flight instructor will give you a detailed explanation of how the aircraft works
- You'll get the chance to take control whilst in the air in our dual-controlled Cessna aircraft
- Flight time: 30 minutes
You are more than welcome to bring your friends and family along to spectate from the ground. The Squadron bar and cafe offers great food and drink and fantastic views of the apron and runwaysSafety
Your safety is paramount to us! All of our aircraft are maintained to the strictest safety standards, and you'll be given a safety briefing by your fully CAA certified flight instructor before your flight commences.Weather / ATC
If the weather or Air Traffic Control means we are unable to fly on the day of your event, we'll let you know and re-arrange at no charge.

As with all aircraft there are limits on the maximum weight of the aircraft.
- 2 Seater: 15 Stone
- 4 Seater: 17 Stone
There is no lower or upper age limit to take the controls and fly the aircraft, however for the hours to count towards licence issue the minimum age is 14

I took a 30 minute trial lesson several months ago with Mark. This week I just finished my first Solo flight and am well on my way to getting my licence! I couldn't rate North Weald Flight Training any higher!
My parents bought me this as a gift
